CSE 299 Project - A website to keep track of Anime, Movies, Tv Series, Games and Books. Also writing review blogs and sharing with friends.
In recent years people mostly spend our leisure time watching Movies, Tv Series, Anime Series or playing Video Games and sometimes reading Books. But there is hardly an easy way to keep track of all the things people watched or the games played or the books they read. Also, people want to share their opinion of these things that they enjoyed, or maybe they disliked and want to share and see what their friends are seeing and saying about the same content. There are different websites out there that help people to keep a list of the movies they have watched or games they have played or write a review. But to keep track and write reviews using those websites may seem difficult as people have to create accounts in separate websites for different types of content. Movie listing websites let people only keep track of the movies they have watched, game-related websites let people keep track of only games and similar for books and other things. Because of this, if one person had to keep track of all of these, he has to maintain and remember account information for different sites and also update them separately from time to time as he consumes new content regularly. If people can get all these features in one place, it will be very easier for them to keep track of the contents they are enjoying and also let their friends know what they think of a show or book that they enjoyed. So as CSE299 - Junior Project Design we decided to build such a website named DOCKET that will offer all these features in one place.
Features
- Signing in using Facebook account. Alternatively with a personal email.
- Home page to feature recent Review Blogs from all the users of this website.
- A 'shoutbox' where all the users can chat with each other even if they are not friends.
- Create separate lists for the contents user already watched, currently watching or want to watch in the future.
- Give personal ratings to content.
- Related information to contents like rating, synopsis, writer or year in the search result.
- Statistics like the number of content users watched for each category.
- Write Review Blogs and expressing opinions on other's review blogs.
- Unified search to show the result for every type of content with each search.
- Add other users as friends and see what they are up to.
